A tiny merino who was sadly orphaned on a cold night in country Vctoria was surrendered into our care over the weekend along with her twin sister. Although Beatrice, who weighs just over 2 kgs, is doing well her sister Ava was not strong enough and we lost her the morning after she came in. Although Ava has become one of the 15 million who die on Australian farms within the first 48 hours of life every year, we anticipate that Beatrice will live a long and healthy life full of love and happiness with one of our carers.
