Yesterday we brought you the story of Sandy who came to us in such a poor state that we didn’t know if he would survive. Despite trying absolutely everything since he came into care yesterday, Sandy gently slipped away this afternoon. His internal organs could not cope with the hypothermia his tiny body had to endure. He could not be brought back from the effects of being born on a freezing cold day and then lying on the wet ground alone for hours. He tried so hard but with those kinds of odds stacked against him he had little chance. Fly free now little Sandy.
